PARASORB® Fleece: more than just hemostyptics! is a sterile, fully absorbable collagen sponge for local hemostasis and wound covering/care in oral surgery/maxillofacial surgery.
Compared to conventional hemostyptics such as oxidised cellulose or gelatin, sterile PARASORB® Fleece/ Fleece HD/ Fleece Genta HD offers a range of further advantages:

Complete absorption with no need for a second operation. (Fleece 5-7 weeks/Fleece HD 12-16 weeks)

Higher, than average, rate of collagen in Fleece; 2.8mg native equine per cm² (double high rate of collagen in Fleece HD (high density) with; 5.6mg natural native equine collagen per cm²

PLEASE NOTE
„FLEECE“-Shaped collagens are rather suggested to be used in or covered over irregular
Defects. (CONES/PLUGS”-Shaped in regular round defect morphologies (f.e. alveole).
FLEECE HD is recommended if longer absorption time is required (12-16 weeks).
For patients with increased risk of complications, adding gentamicin should be considered. Gentamicin is a broad-spectrum antibiotic. Class III medical device.
