6th T-Scan User Conference & Masterclass
4 October 2019 - 5 October 2019
€895On Saturday October 5th 2019 we have scheduled from early in the morning till the end of the day 4 T-Scan Masterclasses for advanced T-Scan users. The idea is to benefit from the presence of the experienced speakers by participating in small workshops with a maximum of 25 participants per workshop.
Because we will run 4 workshops simultaneously, we will be able to host a maximum of 100 advanced T-Scan users in total during this day. In this way you will be able to get the maximum output from each workshop and benefit from the small and interactive groups.
We do offer you an interesting variety of subjects with the aim to get the maximum out of your T-Scan device. We also will focus on digital overlays and dual bite analyses with the T-Scan in combination with JVA/EMG. The aim of each of these workshops is to provide you with the needed tools and hands-on technics so that you will be able to translate your gained knowledge in practice immediately afterwards and being able to give better treatments and more
service to your patients.
Friday 4 oktober
Dr. Hans van Pelt
Opening & Kick-off by
Drs. Marcel Linssen
‘Malocclusions, how to restore occlusion and function, a team approach.’
In this lecture you will learn which factors influence a proper function, how malocclusions can
cause tooth wear and how to restore this function in an interdisciplinary approach.
Drs. Maarten van Geelen
‘T-Scan in daily orthodontics, the change of thinking.’
In orthodontic finish Maarten found out, that visual stability can be light-years away from functional stability. We all see
too often upcoming slight TMJ problems in adolescents after orthodontic treatments.
Dr. Nick Yiannios
‘Frictional Dental Hypersensitivity (FDH) – The Cure for Sensitive‘ Teeth?
• Why Disclusion Times are not enough and why clinicians need to also be aware of the existence of midcourse
corrections when performing ICAGD occlusal adjustments
• How the orthopedic TMJ’s relate to the occlusion, and why this is important to understand and screen prior to
irreversible occlusal adjustments
• The concept of dental allodynia
• The fact that autonomic sympathetic innervation within the pulp and periodontium are germane to the FDH
phenomenon; it’s not just trigeminal…
• How to use the simple ‘Ice-water-swish‘ to test for everyday occlusal hypersensitivity causation
Drs Erik-Jan Muts
‘How to use the T-Scan with the Digital Overlay?’
Translating the measurements obtained with the T-Scan to intra-oral contact points is a challenge we face almost every
day. How do we make a Digital Overlay and what problems are we facing using this technique
Take Home
Know how use the T-Scan with the Digital Overlay
Dr. Bassam Hassan
‘Integration of functional occlusion with the help of vitual articulation with Modjaw in CAD-Cam prosthesis rehabilitation.’
Take home message:
Jaw moving information is essential information for fixing the bite in complex prosthesis cases
Dr. Mike Smith
‘Practical Time / Force Occlusal Management.‘
• Principles of practical conservative occlusal refinement utilizing T-Scan.
• Learn how to apply chairside techniques of occlusal therapy and measure for success with T-Scan.
• Why deprogram and manage inflammation, the TM joint, muscles ingrams for conservative occlusal treatment and
provide consistent non – destructive positive results.
• See how to analyze your data fast to see what force/time events to address for conservative speedy treatment.
• Occlusal refinement can be predictable, see what you can expect from measuring and utilizing T-Scan

‘Deprogramming to improve reproducible scans‘
‘To grind or to add tooth structure, that’s the question‘
How to stabilize the occlusion and to decide whether to adjust occlusion by grinding or by adding tooth structure.
Principles of function, influencing this decision, will be explained.
Take home message:
The T-Scan is a diagnostic device helping us in establishing a diagnose but it is not a diagnose on its own.
Dr. Mike Smith
‘Biometric Integration with T-Scan’
• Learn the benefits of advanced joint diagnostics and occlusal management.
• Why start with the TM Joint.
• How to evaluate and determine what the TM joint is doing before initiating treatment
• See how Joint Vibration Analysis, T-Scan and EMGs function together as a diagnostic therapeutic tool during your course of treatment
